Pyongyang, August 13 (KCNA) — The 2026 National Schoolchildren’s Games, opened in January, came to a close with due ceremony at the Central Youth Hall on August 12. The players competed in 18 sports events, including Taekwon-Do, basketball and speed skating. Sports group members from schools in Pyongyang Municipality, South Hamgyong Province and North Hwanghae Province proved successful in the games. Provincial standings were announced. Victorious teams were awarded citations, trophy cups and prizes, and distinguished sports group members a prize for schoolchildren with special techniques.
