Pyongyang, June 23 (KCNA) — The entire Party, the whole country and all the people are dynamically implementing the regional development policy this year, the third year of its realization. The Non-permanent Ministry of National Defence Group for the Regional Development 20×10 Policy has constantly acquainted itself with the construction forces, supply of building materials and transportation, modernized and standardized the construction equipment and trained more skilled builders. In the meantime, it organized and directed the construction projects well so that they could be promoted simultaneously and proportionately. The 124th Regiment of the Korean People’s Army in Kangnam County was the first to finish the frame work for a regional-industry factory and hospital in the county by organizing and directing the construction meticulously. At the Sinuiju Combined Greenhouse Farm, the officers and men carried out the daily plans and spruced up the construction site by securing gravels of hundreds of cubic meters. At Songhwa, Sonchon, Pongsan, Sinphyong and Maengsan counties and Taean District, the 124th regiments of the Korean People’s Army completed the frame work for the regional-industry factories and hospitals in a qualitative way. The service personnel engaged in the construction of the leisure complexes completed the frame work successfully in 20 cities and counties. The officers and men of the People’s Army are stepping up roofing and external plastering projects with in real earnest at the construction sites in different parts of the country. Builders of South Hamgyong Province involved in the construction of the Riwon County Offshore Farm finished the frame work for public buildings and dwelling houses and are pushing ahead with the interior and exterior plastering and other projects. The frame work for the Hwangju County Grain Management Station is nearing completion. The cities and counties, where regional-industry factories are being built this year, created more than 5 000 hectares of raw materials bases and are raising the enthusiasm for scientific farming. And they are planting trees of economic value and taking care of them in a scientific and technological way. The Ministry of Regional Industry, provincial promotion committees and other relevant organs and units are training in real earnest skilled workers and technicians with different jobs and medical workers who will play the key role in the normal operation of the regional-industry factories, hospitals and leisure complexes under construction.
