Pyongyang, July 2 (KCNA) — The 26th Conference of the Korean Youth League in Japan (Jochong) was held at Korea University under the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) in Tokyo of Japan on June 28. Present there were Pak Ku Ho, first vice-chairman of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee, and delegates elected by the Jochong organizations at all levels. The national anthem of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea was played. The chairman of the Jochong Central Standing Committee made a report on its work. The reporter with pride reviewed the achievements Jochong made in the past four years through such patriotic mass movements as a model creation movement, true to the important letter sent by the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un to the participants in the 25th Congress of Chongryon. He referred to the tasks and ways for consolidating Jochong into a Juche-oriented overseas youth organization embodying the compatriots-first principle. Then there were speeches. Delegate Ryang Sang Thae was newly elected chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the Korean Youth League in Japan. Pak Ku Ho made a concluding speech. He called upon the participants in the conference to always bear in mind the greatest privilege and glory bestowed by the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un and share breath and pace with the young people in the homeland in the new period of struggle towards the 80th anniversary of the formation of Chongryon and thus fully display their honor as the patriotic vanguard ranks, vanguard and shock brigade in the struggle for writing a new chapter in the history of Chongryon by steadily carrying forward the patriotic spirit of the founder generation. A letter to the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un was adopted at the conference.
