朝ロ首脳会談2周年記念行事、ロシア各地で開催

Pyongyang, June 27 (KCNA) — Events took place in Russia between June 11 and 24 to mark the second anniversary of the historic DPRK-Russia Pyongyang summit and the conclusion of the Treaty on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and the Russian Federation. Present there were personages of the government, parliament, political parties, organizations and institutions of Russia and members of the DPRK mission in Russia. Speeches were made at the events. At the seminar participated by personages of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Academy of Sciences of Russia, the Russian Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK and the Russian Group for International Solidarity with the DPRK, speakers said that Russia would always remember the DPRK’s strong support to Russia in its most difficult period and that the DPRK set a living example in implementing the treaty in practice, not in words, adding that no outside forces’ obstructive moves can undermine the Russia-DPRK friendship. Personages of the Khabarovsk Territorial Branch of the United Russia Party and the Maritime Territorial Branch Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation referred to the significance of the DPRK-Russia Pyongyang summit, the historic position of the treaty on comprehensive strategic partnership between the DPRK and Russia and the successes made in the development of the relations between the two countries over the past two years. Personages of the Ministry of Culture of the Khabarovsk Territorial Government and the legislative assembly of Khabarovsk Territory and the representative of the Foreign Ministry in Khabarovsk said at an opening ceremony of the DPRK book, photo and art and handicrafts exhibition that the Russia-DPRK alliance forged with the joint struggle against Japanese militarism as a start serves as the cornerstone for stability in the Asia-Pacific region and that the treaty on comprehensive strategic partnership is an important foundation for the development of the relations between the two countries. The chairperson of the Maritime Territorial Branch of the All-Russia War Veterans’ Social Organization “Militant Fraternity” and the chairperson of the Khabarovsk Youth Association for the Study of the Juche Idea said that the conclusion of the treaty on comprehensive strategic partnership is an event of very important significance in the history of friendly relations between the two countries and that the conclusion of the treaty helped strengthen the Russia-DPRK relations into a solid alliance. Personages of political and social circles of the Republic of Buryatia said that the combatants of the DPRK armed forces regarded the territory of Russia as the territory of their country and fought with the Russian soldiers in the same trench to liberate the Kursk area from the neo-Nazi forces, adding that this is attributable to the leaders of the two countries who signed the treaty on comprehensive strategic partnership and put the Russia-DPRK friendly relations on a firm legal basis.
