Pyongyang, August 12 (KCNA) — Officials of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People’s Assembly of the DPRK, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of External Economic Relations and the DPRK-Laos Friendship Association paid a condolatory visit to the Lao embassy here on Tuesday on the occasion of the demise of Xaysomphone Phomvihane, former president of the National Assembly of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic. Placed were wreathes in the name of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People’s Assembly of the DPRK, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of External Economic Relations and the DPRK-Laos Friendship Association. The visitors observed a moment’s silence in the memory of Xaysomphone Phomvihane who contributed to the socialist construction of the Lao people and the development of the DPRK-Lao friendship relations.
