Technical innovation contests have been held among the April 15 technical innovation shock brigades in the sector of power station in Kangwon Province, including the Anbyon Youth Power Station and the Wonsan Army-People Power Station, bringing about a substantial improvement in raising the efficiency of power generation and increasing and economizing electricity. In Pyongyang, a technical innovation contest is being held among the shock brigades in the field of foodstuff factories to increase the variety of foodstuffs favoured by the people and improve their quality. In addition, the contests are being staged by the shock brigades in the field of dairy processing in South Hamgyong Province and by those in the field of condiments in Nampho Municipality.
