北朝鮮、亀城工業大学の創立70周年を記念

Pyongyang, August 1 (KCNA) — Kusong College of Technology marked its 70th founding anniversary. In October 1957, President Kim Il Sung visited the then Kusong College of Mechanical Engineering and led it to play a pioneering role in the development of the country’s machine-building industry by improving its educational contents and methods as required by the developing times. Chairman Kim Jong Il took a measure for turning Kusong College of Mechanical Engineering into Kusong College of Technology and sent books necessary for its education several times. Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un clearly indicated the orientation and ways for making all the people well versed in science and technology and developing the country into a talented nation and is wisely leading the struggle for making the educational revolution in the new century. True to the Party policy of attaching importance to education, the college has made achievements in scientific researches and training of talents by raising the level of educating the students in a theoretical and popularized way on basis of the Party policy and improving the educational conditions and environment. A commemorative meeting was held on July 31. Present there were Choe Yong Man, chairman of the North Phyongan Provincial People’s Committee, officials concerned and officials, teaching staff and students of the college.
