Pyongyang, June 28 (KCNA) — The Fatherland Liberation War (June 25, 1950-July 27, 1953) was a war in which the DPRK (founded on September 9, 1948) honorably defended its freedom and independence of the country from the aggression of the imperialist allied forces headed by the U.S. imperialists. The war, which can be called a confrontation between a rifle and A-bomb, witnessed military miracles unprecedented in the history of world wars thanks to the outstanding military ideas, Juche-oriented war tactics and superb strategy and tactics of President Kim Il Sung.
