Pyongyang, June 25 (KCNA) — Factories in the light industrial sector of the DPRK are improving the quality of products and expanding their varieties by dint of science and technology. The technicians team of the Hamhung Footwear Factory introduced technical innovation proposals including the rational shoe upper processing method for reducing processing time. As a result, various sports shoes made by the factory are popular for their lightness and good appearance. The Paekunsan General Foodstuff Factory is updating the nutritional indices of foodstuffs. The factory has developed more than 10 kinds of foodstuffs good for the health of people this year alone, including kelp cake and laver cake. The Phyongsong Artificial Leather Factory invented and introduced a new artificial leather production method for the production of sports apparatuses and daily necessities and made progress in putting production processes on a digital and automated basis.
