Pyongyang, August 8 (KCNA) — Doctor retraining units in the DPRK step up the project for improving the practical qualifications of medical workers at preventive and curative institutions. Pyongyang Doctor Retraining College has trained teachers to be talents well versed in their major field of study and possessed of wide knowledge in related fields. It dispatched excellent teachers to local preventive and curative institutions to give mobile lectures on advanced medical technology. The North Phyongan provincial doctor retraining institute has made efforts to raise the level of foreign languages while effectively organizing internships, sci-tech presentations and seminars on experience to expand the intellectual horizon of medical workers. The North Hwanghae provincial doctor retraining institute has conducted a training course for medical workers in charge of households and retraining on relevant subjects including general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology and pediatrics in a planned way. It also actively applies the clinical experience gained by the preventive and curative medical institutions in the province to teaching practice.
