Pyongyang, August 11 (KCNA) — Youth league officials and youth and students in North Hamgyong Province of the DPRK made a study tour of the Phanjang temporary secret base on the occasion of the 81st anniversary of Korea’s liberation. The base is associated with the immortal feats of President Kim Il Sung who advanced the orientation of the final offensive operations for the liberation of the country and the task for all-people resistance before the commanding officers and small unit and group chiefs of the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army active in the border area along the shore of the River Tuman in June 1945. Being briefed on the base, the visitors recollected the personality of the President as a great man who led the great hard-fought anti-Japanese war to victory and accomplished the historic cause of liberating the country. They went round the sites for tents, long-range observation posts, spring site and campfires used by the revolutionary forerunners.
